It’s official: Birmingham City Council is the local authority facing the biggest Tory cuts in the country.
According to research Birmingham City Council comes top for the level of cuts by 2020, at over £376 million. It also features in other top ten rankings, such as level of cuts per household and cuts in comparison to levels of deprivation.
Local government is under enormous pressure because of politically motivated Tory cuts that hit the poorest hardest. Ordinary families are paying the price as councils are forced to cut services to fill the gap.
These latest figures prove what we’ve been saying for years – The Tories have got it in for Birmingham. Despite the unprecedented level of cuts Labour has made a real difference in Birmingham and is making the right choices.
A vote for the Tories is a vote for more cuts to our city, your community, and your street.
On Thursday 3rd of May the people of Birmingham a vote for Labour will send a message to the Tories that enough is enough.
