IN for Birmingham. IN for Britain.

"When people ask me why I'm leading Labour's campaign for Britain to stay in the European Union, I think back to 1975. Wearing a tank top and flares, I asked myself two questions — what is best for me and my family, and what is best for Britain?"

That's how I start our new video for Labour's campaign to stay in Europe. Today, we're kicking off our campaign officially. But our fight will be won by individual people across the country, so I wanted to give you a chance to see it now.

Take part in today's launch by watching my reasons for being in, and then by sharing the video with your friends

People care about Britain's future in Europe for many different reasons — and you might still be making up your mind. But for me, the arguments boil down to a simple fact: Britain is better off in Europe.

As I was watching the arguments for and against the bombing of Syria, I was struck by what Margaret Beckett said…Simply…That France had asked for our help…Another example of our interconnectedness…If we are to improve and prolong our relationship with Europe…This is one of the consequences…

We could have responded sooo much better tho’…Why couldn’t we have limited bombing of say 5 bombs administered by France to show our support…Or limited in terms of time say 3/6 months …Again administered by France…

Wouldn’t that have shown support for France and a little more integrity for/in Syria?

Keith Hanson did you get my previous comments on this…Thought this was a blog…Shouldn’t I see my comment and those of others…This is SOOO weird…
This is the 3rd time I’ll be commenting here…

This video is the slickest thing I’ve seen on here…And it’s from Alan Johnson, who to be fair did not cover himself in glory in a ‘This Week’ appearance soon after the JC phenomenon…Where he seemed to squash Pauline Black’s enthusiasm and argument by 1. Alluding to the fact that JC had not always towed the party line in the past…Particularly vehemently…(Almost like there was no love there at all?…Weird) and 2. By mentioning the insurmountable ‘due process’ and ’that’s not how party politics works’…I’m paraphrasing but that was the gist…

Anyway about this…Too many secs and visuals on Job Security and all that implies for maintaining lifestyles…The nature of work and jobs will change drastically in a generation…Too little on the interdependent/connected world…That is why we need Europe and the rest of the world too…To develop co-ordinated thought thru plans to deal with the emerging chaos and uncertainty…Borne out of the ‘facts’ that significant parts of the globe are ecologically devastated, the monopolization of dwindling resources by supranational business and the growing trans migration of people whose lives are significantly worse than ours…

These topics may seem scary, but they are the very mobilizers to new ideas and for creating ‘climates’/spaces to thinking differently…GLOCAL is not only a buzzword it is a speedy connector to a plan of action…So too is CHAOS FRIENDLY REFLECTION…So too is AUTHENTIC CITIZENSHIP
